First yearbook sales

by M. Heibult

Mr. BJ Schuller’s Publications Class is beginning to produce this year’s upcoming yearbook. Every year, ads are put up all around the school to promote buying a yearbook. Sales will be held October 25 – November 1 during the students’ lunch periods.

“Yearbooks are not just something you’ll buy to look at once or twice, yearbooks are made so that 30 years down the line, you can remember all the fun and exciting memories that you made at Sibley-Ocheyedan,” Yearbook Editor-in-Chief Kristina Habben noted. If you buy a yearbook before Christmas, they are $45. After Christmas, the yearbooks are sold for $50. Students from Mr. Schuller’s Publications Class will sit down in front of the calendar in the lunchroom in order to talk to the students about the yearbook this year.

Ads are made by the Publications Class members and are placed around the school to motivate students to buy a yearbook. Some of the spots ads will be placed: directly above the drinking fountains, on the entrance doors to the bathrooms, and at the school’s main entryway. The ads will also be displayed in the weekly announcements, on the school’s Facebook page, and on the school’s web page.
