S-O FFA is Always Busy

FFA is always busy. As the first semester passed, so do things like FFA Fruit Sales, and so many more events. As a new semester arrives, so does many more events and activities. The first part of the school year is always busy for the FFA chapter. From the freshman getting their jackets to the aforementioned fruit sales. 

There are many upcoming events for the Sibley – Ocheyedan FFA chapter. January 14th, and February 11th, there are FFA meetings. During these meetings, the FFA chapter will discuss upcoming events. They will also have supper and play some games, after the meeting. On February 10th, the FFA chapter is hosting a Blood Drive. National FFA Week is the 22nd through the 29th of February. At Sibley – Ocheyedan they will also have a petting zoo. The petting zoo will be held on the 24th in the FFA shop. On the 26th they will be hosting a pancake breakfast throughout the day. Kids can come down to the FFA shop and have some pancakes or people on lunch break can stop by as well. The last event in February is the Sub – District Contest that will be held on the 27th at Okoboji High School. 

On March 7th, Sibley – Ocheydan will be hosting the Northwest District contest for FFA members. On the 16th of March, the group will be having a middle school night. This night, the middle schoolers will be learning about processing food. On the 26th of March, the FFA chapter will be having a soup and pie supper. This is held at the school and is open to the general public.
