Contest Coming Up

by S. Jansma

The S – O Publications Class is challenging S – O students, grades 9-12, to a contest! The class will be displaying a contest poster that will have unidentified yearbook photos of individuals. The challenge is for you to guess the identities of those individuals. The challenge will begin on December 6, 2019. The contest will center around your ability to correctly identify the senior photos from years gone by. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners. The first prize winner will receive a free 2019 – 2020 yearbook (a $45 value) while the first runner-up will receive their 2019 – 2020 yearbook at a reduced price of $10 off the normal sale price when they purchase a 2019-2020 book;  the second runner-up will receive $5 off the normal sale price when they purchase a 2019-2020 book.

Participants will be able to find this poster hanging on the library windows by the message board at the south end of the high school commons beginning December 6, 2019. Slips for your entry guesses can be found next to the orange S – O box in the office, where slips with your guesses are to be placed. Guesses will be reviewed every Tuesday and Friday. This poster will be updated three times with six photos per update. This contest will be open to all high school students, grades 9-12, and will continue until December 20, 2019. Who knows? You might just see an old photo of someone you know and walk away with a free yearbook.
