When one comes into high school, he or she does not always know how many different things are offered. There are many activities, extracurricular activities, and clubs. At Sibley – Ocheyedan. Many clubs are offered such as Pep Club, FFA, Art Club, Spanish Club, Shooting Sports, Stem Club, and many more. Two popular clubs are Art Club and Spanish Club.

If you are interested in joining the Art Club, the people you will need to talk to are Jaci Van Westen and Grace Nasers, the co-presidents of the Art Club. In order to be in the Art Club, you need to be taking an art class. They meet once a month where they have a meeting and do activities.  Van Westen said, “We try to meet once a month, but this year has been a little different because of all the snow days.” One activity that they did was “Following a Bob Ross Painting.” The Art club also painted the sets for the high school musical.

Another club that is offered at Sibley – Ocheyedan is the Spanish Club. The president of the Spanish Club is Kristina Habben. The group organizes events to get students eager to learn about speaking Spanish and the culture. They also are trying to spread the culture of South America, by having a taco bar, cooking Latin American-inspired food, wearing a sombrero, and watching Spanish movies.

Many would say clubs are a great way to make new friends and have new experiences.
