The Sibley – Ocheyedan class of 2022 graduation will be held on May 15, 2022, at 2 pm in the high school gym. The graduating class made the decision for the class quote to be “Our lives are before us, our past is behind us, our memories are forever within us.” They also made the decision for the class flower to be a yellow rose in memoriam of their classmate Dimitri and the class colors are purple and white.
The last class day for seniors is May 12, and there will be commencement practice and the walk through the elementary and middle school will be after practice on Friday, May 13. At the graduation ceremony the S – O choir will be performing one of their spring concert pieces. During the graduation ceremony speeches will be given, the choir will perform, the powerpoint that contains baby photos and the senior photos will also be shown.
Senior Awards day will be held on Friday, May 6, at 7:45 AM in the high school auditorium for those who are being given a scholarship or special recognition. Some of the scholarships being awarded include: S-O Science Department, P.E.O. Scholarship, National Honor Society, Mona H. Stevens Memorial, Broken Column Masonic Lodge, S-O athletic booster club, Joslin K. Winkowitsch Memorial, Dimitri and Damien Leckband Memorial, and many more.
